Historical Society Book Sale - a Community Tradition - on May 8 and 9

Historical Society Book Sale on May 8 and May 9

The Historical Society of Cheshire County will hold its ninth annual used book sale on Friday, May 8, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For the ninth year in a row a local book dealer has made a generous contribution of used books for this fund raising event. The sale will include books on history, antiques, cookbooks, nature, travel, recent hardcover fiction, and much more. The sale will include approximately 2,000 volumes, most for $1 each, with a quality selection of higher priced books. All proceeds benefit the work of the Historical Society of Cheshire County.

According to Alan Rumrill, Director of the Historical Society, "This event has become a welcome tradition in the community. It provides a great selection of high quality used books at bargain prices. It also provides an opportunity for people to thin out bookshelves and replenish them with new works at great prices while also supporting the work or the Historical Society." The Exhibit Hall at the Historical Society will be transformed with tables of books in many different areas. This year, for the first time, there will be a large selection of vinyl record records for sale.

The sale will take place at the Society's headquarters at 246 Main Street, Keene, NH. All are welcome. For further information contact the Society at 603-352-1895.
