This small group consists of one series entitled "SUBJECT FILE." There is one folder in the group. The materials cover the years 1771 - (1820-1890 -1978. The items are arranged by subject and chronologically within each subject unless otherwise stated.

Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire was granted in 1752 as Monadnock No. 4 and was incorporated on May 19, 1773 as Fitzwilliam. It was first settled in 1760 by (later Brigadier General) James Reid, John Fassett, Benjamin Bigelow, and others. The population of the town was 1038 in 1790.

Several pieces in the group deal with town resident Levi Chamberlain. The legal items and letters are to or about him.
