HP 2 George A. Wheelock, Naturalist
A short biography by Samuel Wadsworth.   Multi Era 4 - 7: 1818 to 1906
HP 3 A Journal of the Expedition Against Quebec, 1775-1776
A journal written by Ebenezer Tolman from Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire, and documents the experiences he and his comrades had in their expedition against Quebec during the American Revolution.   Era 3
HP 4 Civil War Diary of Wyman S. White
Wyman S. White was one of many residents of Cheshire County to fight in the Civil War in 1861. A native of Fitzwilliam, N.H., White enlisted in the Union Army's 2nd United States Sharpshooter Regiment. His diary contains a biographical sketch about his life as well as accounts of his entire war experience.   Era 5
HP 5 The Faulkner & Colony Mill
The Faulkner & Colony Mill operated for 138 years, and was one of Keene's more predominant and important business. This packet tells the history of the mill, how it operated, and the many changes it when through over it long life. Photographs, time line, bibliography, map, and an overview of the early New England woolen industry are included.   Multi Era 4 - 9: 1815 to 1953
HP 6 Reverend Aaron Hall's Oration
The oration delivered by Hall in 1788 was in celebration of the ratification of the Federal Constitution in which Hall was a delegate from Keene. Packet includes a biographical sketch and bibliography.   Era 3
HP 7 Child Labor in Cheshire County
The story of child labor in Cheshire County mirrors what was occurring throughout the rest of New Hampshire and New England. Different perhaps in scale and number of children in the work place, the types of work children performed were much like their counterparts in places with similar economic and environmental conditions.   Multi Era 5-7: 1850s to 1910
HP 8 Persis Foster Eames Albee: The First "Avon Lady"
A short biography of Persis Albee of Winchester, who used her good business skills and entrepreneurial spirit to become the model of success in selling door-to-door as the first "Avon Lady."    Multi Era 4-7: 1836 to 1914
HP 9 Brigadier General James Reed
A biography of James Reed, who became a Brigadier General in the Continental Army and early proprietor of Fitzwilliam.   Multi Era 2-3: 1724 to 1807
HP 10 Amos Fortune, Exemplary Citizen
A short biography of Amos Fortune of Jaffrey.   Era 3
HP 11 Edward Carrington Thayer
A short biography of Edward Thayer, industrialist and philanthropist of Keene.   Multi Era 4-6: 1828 to 1898
